The Guest Book is expired.

James "Jim" Richard, of Fair Lawn, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at the age of 83, with his loving wife of thirty years, Greta, holding his hand, and surrounded by his devoted nephew Dennis Healy and very special friend Jaye Alpern who always brought a smile to his face.
In addition to Greta, Dennis and Jaye, Jim is also survived by daughter Linda, son Robert, grandsons Nasser, Blake, and Tyler. Jim also leaves behind Dennis' wife Mary and their three children Caitlin, Dennis "Jimmie J." and Lauren who adored and will sorely miss their Uncle Jim. Jim was predeceased by his son James Jr.
Jim was a Pharmacist with Eli Lilly Pharmaceuticals for forty years. Jim was a graduate of Rutgers University School of Pharmacy and served on the Rutgers Presidential Council for many years. Jim was the baby of the family of five children of Percy and Florence and brother to Enid, Eugene, Calvin and Warren who predeceased him. Jim was active for many years helping to beautify his hometown of Fair Lawn. All those who drive on Fair Lawn Avenue by Route 208 can clearly see the heart that Jim so lovingly built for the passer-byes to enjoy. Jim also served as a member of the Fair Lawn Ethics Committee for many years. Jim was a U.S. Army Veteran serving as a Medic in a M.A.S.H. unit during the Korean War.
Jim found great comfort in his cat "Bootsie" who spent hours a day in his lap and sleeping next to him in his bed each night. Jim will also be remembered for his many talents, especially his ability to build and create things with no formal plans. He was a very loving man whose passing leaves a large void in the lives of those he loved and loved him so much.
Arrangements and cremation were handled by Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home of Fair Lawn. A private service will be held at a later date.
