PARAMUS — Jane M. (Gormley) Uber, 78, formerly of Butler, died on Dec. 1.

She was a 25-year employee of the Paramus Public Library.

She is survived by her children, Susan Kuchera and husband Richard of Basking Ridge, Kathy Alicakos and husband Evan of Ringwood, Greg Uber and wife Darlene of Milford, Pa., Steven Uber and wife Yvonne of Paramus, Donald Uber and husband Francis Warburton of Paramus, James Uber of Oakland, Jean Pinyan and husband Christopher of Randolph, Patricia Uber and husband Joseph Soter of Highlands; her grandchildren, Brian, Jeffrey and Elizabeth Kuchera, Michael, Colleen and Kellie Alicakos, Gregory, Derek and Jacqueline Uber, Bryan, Brandon and Jennifer Uber and Megan and Daniel Pinyan; her brother, Richard Gormley and wife Dolores of Longmont, Colo.; her siblings-in-law, Dorothy Richards and Thomas Uber and wife Dottie; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Donald R. Uber.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 4 at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 South Farview Ave. in Paramus. Funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 5 the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at the RC Church of the Annunciation, 50 West Midland Ave. in Paramus, with interment at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
