Jerry A. "Mr. Tam," 91, of Allendale, on July 1, 2014. Born in Brooklyn, NY, He resided in Lodi, Ramsey and finally settling in Allendale. He was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran. Jerry received his Bachelor's Degree from Montclair State University, a Master's Degree from The Graduate School of Seton Hall University and attended Ohio State, NYU and Columbia Universities. Before retiring in 1984 he was a school teacher for the Lodi Board of Education, the Lodi High School principal finally the Superintendent of the Lodi School District with over 38 years of service. He was very instrumental in the construction of the new Lodi High School and was a member of the NJEA and The Lodi Lions Club. Beloved husband of the late Josephine Acurio. Beloved father of Marianne Del Bueno and husband Nicholas of Allendale, Jerry Tamburello, Jr. and wife Kim of Augusta and Ronald Tamburello and Wife Lorraine of Yonkers, NY. Loving grandfather of nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Dear brother of Frances Signore and the late Salvatore, Anthony and Joseph Tamburello, Margaret Pucciarelli, Mary Malachoski, Jennie Marco and Josephine Ilaria. Funeral Saturday 7:45 AM at Santangelo Funeral Home, 300 N. Main St., Lodi then to Our Lady Mother of the Church in Woodcliff Lakes for a 9 AM Funeral Mass. Interment Valleau Cemetery, Ridgewood. Visitation Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
