KOZAK
John M., 89, of Cedar Grove died Sunday, January 26,
2014.  Born in Clifton, he resided in Haledon and Silverton before moving to Cedar Grove ten years ago.  A US Army Veteran of WWII, John participated in the Anzio invasion where he received a Purple Heart.  He was employed as a lab technician at Hoffman - La Roche for over 30 years prior to his retirement in1986.  John is a member of the Roche Retirees.  He is predeceased by his wife of 37 years, the former Anne Brandenburg Mangin who passed away in 2011, by a brother, Joseph Venchak and by three sisters, Mary Liptak, Betty Kochur and Julia Novak.  John is survived by a step daughter, Ann Van Walleghem, by a step son, Charles Mangin. by a brother, Steve Kozak, by four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Wednesday at Allwood Funeral Home, 660 Allwood Rd., Clifton followed by burial at East Ridgelawn Cemetery.  Visiting hours are Tuesday 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. www.allwoodfuneralhome.com
