BUTLER — Services were held for Joseph H. Foley, 76, of Totowa, who died on Monday, October 22, 2012. He was a former resident of this borough.
Mr. Foley was born in New York City. He was the deputy inspector for the New York City Police Department before retiring in 1990. Also, he was a former councilman for the Borough of Butler. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War as well.
Services were Friday at St. Anthony's R.C. Church, Butler, followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery, Queens, N.Y. Arrangements were by the Morrison Funeral Home, Butler. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Little Sisters of the Poor, St. Joseph's Home for the Elderly, 140 Shepherd Lane, Totowa, NJ 07512.
Mr. Foley is survived by his stepdaughter, Linda Monaco of Butler; his cousins, Therese Davey Brennan of Dublin, Ireland, and Mary Davey of Sligo, Ireland; and his friend, John Sautter.
He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Margaret.
