Joseph, 72, of Passaic passed away on June 21, 2013. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was raised in Kearny and lived in South Orange before moving to Passaic 27 years ago. An Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, Joseph served as a Paratrooper and was a member of the American Legion Post 70, Nutley. Joseph worked as a Maintenance Engineer for St. Joseph's Hospital, Paterson, for 17 years, retiring in 1993. Joseph was also the recipient of the 1st heart transplant in New Jersey following the reopening of the program in 1990. Beloved fiance of Audrey Lusaitis of Passaic. Dear lifelong friend of Rosalie Call, the late Edward Call, and their daughters Patricia Holmburg, Rosemary Roser, Kathleen Krauser and Eileen Call. Funeral Tuesday 8 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 9 AM at St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton. Interment, Holy Trinity Cemetery, Bear Creek, PA. Visiting Monday 6-9 PM at the funeral home.
