WANAQUE — Services were held for Joseph R. Wos, 67, of this city, who died on Wednesday, April 16, 2014. He was the brother of Sophie Milone of the Haskell section of this community.

Born in Katy, Poland, Mr. Wos came to the United States in 1960 and lived in Passaic before moving to Clifton 40 years ago. He was a supervisor of the meter readers of the Passaic Valley Water Commission, where he worked for 35 years before retiring in 2004. Also, he was a parishioner of Holy Rosary R.C. Church, Passaic, where he was a Eucharistic minister for many years. And, he was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

Services were Monday at the Shook Funeral Home, Clifton, followed by Mass at Holy Rosary R.C. Church. Interment was at St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Autism Speaks, or the .

Mr. Wos also is survived by his wife, the former Teresa Kulikowska; his daughter, Renee Vanderburgh of Clifton; his son, Michael of Winter Park, Fla.; his other sister, Anelia Kania of Clifton; his brother, John of Randolph,; and two grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his sister, Barbara Szwed; and his brother, Stanley.
