Juanita, age 72, was born in Atlanta, GA. She resided in Paterson, NJ most of her life until she relocated to Columbia, SC in 2011. Ms. Willis departed this life on Tuesday, December 25, 2012.
She was a retired Postal Worker who became a self employed entrepreneur owning and operating several retail establishments; Boulevard East Flowers and Kipley's General Store both in Paterson, NJ. She was a member of The St. Luke Baptist Church, Paterson, NJ; there she served on the Floral Ministry and the Voices of St. Luke Choir. To hear her sing was a blessing in and of itself.
She was also a member of the Paterson Great Falls Rotary Club. She was predeceased by her parents John and Louise (Burton) Willis.
She is survived by her sons Jeffrey Willis and Perrin Feaster, daughter: Lisa Willis, brothers: John A. "Andy", Marcus and Marion Willis, sisters: Diane Williams, Catherine Willis, Cassandra Bowers and Valerie Perkins, 4 grandchildren: Ravin, Elisabeth and Christopher Willis, and Jonathan Schwartz, 1 great-grandson: Jonathan Schwartz Jr., brothers-in-law: Willodene Williams, Henry Bowers and Otis Perkins, sister-in-law: Viola Willis, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, neighbors, friends and church family.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate her life on Monday, December 31, 2012 11:00am at The St. Luke Baptist Church 139-145 A.M. Tyler Place (Carroll St.), Paterson, NJ.
