Linda A., passed away at her home in Hackensack, N.J., on January 28 at the age of 72 after a brief illness. Her life was centered around music. Ms. Lanier-Keosaian was a doctoral candidate at New York University in the final stages of writing her dissertation on Cesar Franck's 3rd Organ Chorale. She received her teacher certification in Music Education from Montclair State University, a Master of Sacred Music in Organ Performance from Union Theological Seminary in New York, and a Bachelor of Music in Organ Performance from Westminster Choir College in Princeton. She was a respected church organist and choir director, and was a choral music teacher at Arts High School in Newark, N.J. Linda was the beloved wife of 30 years to Rev. Gregory J. Keosaian. She is also survived by her children Peternelle van Arsdale and Jan Walter van Arsdale, Jr.; siblings Ruth Lyle King and Eldred Sorrell Lanier, Jr.; and grandchildren Galen Oettel, and Jansen, Carolynn, Stedman, and Jane van Arsdale. Her Memorial Service will be on Saturday, February 16, 2013, at the First Presbyterian Church, 150 Palisade Ave., Englewood, NJ, at 3 PM.
