Marjorie "Midge" Goldman, of Upper Saddle River and Boynton Beach, Fla., recently died.

Born in Passaic on Dec. 8, 1928, the daughter of Sylvan and Lillian Grostky (Berlin), she lived in Passaic through her high school years. She attended Bergen Junior College, and upon graduation got a job working at CBS Radio and Television. On Dec. 12, 1954 she married Eugene Goldman of Jersey City and spent two years living in Fort Lee before moving to Teaneck, where she lived for the next 18 years. She completed her undergraduate education at Farleigh Dickinson University in 1971 and subsequently went on to get her master's degree in education while working as a learning disabilities teacher in the Hackensack School system, where she taught for 22 years. Upon retiring, she split their time between homes in Upper Saddle River and Boynton Beach, Fla. where she became a golfer and duplicate bridge player. She succumbed to the effects of Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's.

She is survived by her children, Carol Berg and husband William of Atlanta, Ga. and Peter Goldman and spouse Peter Eckert of New York, N.Y.; and her grandchildren, Eleanor Berg and Erica Berg.

Arrangements were by Gutterman & Musicant's in Hackensack.
