Michael A., 92, of Little Ferry died Friday. Born in Hoboken, NJ, Mr. Lisa resided in Little Ferry for most of his life. He retired from the Hackensack Water Co., where he was employed for many years. Mr. Lisa was a Veteran of the US Army during World War II serving with the 11th Armored Division. He was awarded the European Theatre of Operations Medal with Three Battle Stars and a member of VFW Post #809 in Little Ferry.
He was predeceased by his sister, Phyllis Cotrone and by his two brothers, Charles and Jimmy Lisa.
Survivors include: his wife, the former Helen Cafiero; his five children: Joanne Smith of Toms River, Michele Lisa and DeVaughn Currie of Clifton; Michael Lisa of Rutherford; Noelle and Natalie Lisa, both of Clifton; his sister, Marie LaForgia; his four brothers: Harry, Joseph, Robert and John Lisa; his five grandchildren: Charles R. Schwartz, Elijah Bryant, Jaliese Lisa, Joseph Lisa, Michael Lisa and his four great grandchildren: Nicole, Samantha, Charlie and James.
Funeral Service will be at 4 PM Sunday at Bizub-Parker Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Little Falls. Visitation from 1-4 PM. Private cremation to follow. Visit www.bizub.com for driving directions/ online condolences.
