Beryl Walter, widow of Richard H. Walter, Jr. (1992) passed away on Thursday, Oct. 11. She was 88.
Born in Manitoba, Canada the daughter of Norman Edward and Annie (Clark) Jacobs, she lived in Fort Lee, NJ and California before coming to West Milford 43 years ago.
A WWII veteran of the Coast Guard serving from 1942-43, Walter was a member and former Vice President of West Milford Golden Age Circle and a volunteer art teacher at Marshall Hill School, West Milford. Her children Richard J. Walter of Parsippany, Catherine B. Wilson of Los Molinas, CA, Sandra A. Nugent of Napa, CA, Sharon L. Rounds of Mahwah and Debra M. Williamsen of Warwick, NY, 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren survive her.
Arrangements made by Richards Funeral Home in West Milford, funeral services were held at St. David's Episcopal Church in Kinnelon. Burial followed at the Cedar Heights Cemetery in West Milford. The family has requested donations to the church in lieu of flowers.
