Peter Anthony Christiana, 84 of Lodi, passed away on July 7, 2014.

Born in Moonachie, Mr. Christiana served in the United States Army during the Korean War touring Europe under General Eisenhower.

A retail butcher at Paul's Deli in Nutley and the James Street Market in Lodi, Mr. Christiana also was a crossing guard in Lodi for more than 10 years. He was a member of the VFW Post 4591 in Hasbrouck Heights.

Mr. Christiana was beloved husband of the late Mildred (nee Nichols) Christiana, who predeceased him in 2006, loving father of Peter Christiana (chaplain of the Lodi Fire Department). Also surviving are loving nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Family and friends will be received Thursday, July 10, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Macagna Diffily Onorato Funeral Home, 41 Ames Ave., Rutherford. The funeral will be Friday, July 11, at 8:30 a.m. from the Macagna Diffily Onorato Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will take place at 9:30 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Church, Lodi. Cremation will follow at East Ridgelawn Crematory, Clifton.
