Richard William, 92, of Upper Saddle River, NJ, passed away on July 2, 2013. Born in Westchester, NY, Richard grew up in Rockland County, NY. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles, John, and Arthur. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Taylor Moore, and his sister, Florence Moore Renart of New City, NY. He also has three sons, Richard, Gregory and Bruce, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. After graduating from Spring Valley High School, Richard served proudly in WWII as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army. He received an honorable discharge and was awarded the Purple Heart for injuries he sustained on the front lines in Italy and North Africa. After his tour of duty, Richard began his long career at Sun Chemical (later Facile Technologies) in Paterson, NJ, as a product sales manager. He retired at age 72. A viewing will be held from 9-11 AM, with a service being conducted at 11 AM at the Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave., Ramsey, NJ 07446 on Monday, July 8th.
