WANAQUE — Services were held for Robert Balasa, 73, of this community, who died on Tuesday, October 16, 2012.
Born in Garfield, Mr. Balasa lived in Fair Lawn and Woodland Park before moving to Wanaque 41 years ago. He was a bus mechanic for New Jersey Transit, Oradell, for 13 years before retiring many years ago. Also, he was a U.S. Army veteran.
Services were Saturday at St. Francis R.C. Church, Haskell. Arrangements were by the D'Agostino Funeral Home, Haskell. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to
, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Mr. Balasa is survived by his daughter, Robyn Hauser of Wanaque; his son, Brent of Delray Beach, Fla.; his sister, Barbara Ferment of Florida; his former wife, Carole Duffy; and four grandchildren.
