PEQUANNOCK - Services were held for Robert C. Dittloff, 88, of the Pompton Plains section of this community, who died on Wednesday, March 6, 2013.
Born in Paterson, Mr. Dittloff lived in Clifton before moving to Pompton Plains 24 years ago. He was the owner and operator of RCD Motor Frate, Wayne, for 40 years before retiring. A U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, he was a member of John H. Lokhoff American Legion Post No. 242, Pompton Plains, as well.
Services were Saturday at the Allwood Funeral Home, Clifton, followed by burial at the First Reformed Church Cemetery, Pompton Plains. Donations may be sent to the Visiting Nurse Association Hospice, 175 South St., Morristown, NJ 07960.
Mr. Dittloff is survived by his wife, the former Cheryl Hooyman; his son, Matthew of Pompton Lakes; his daughters, Heidi Dittloff of Lebanon, and Melisa Lang of Wichita, Kans.; and five grandchildren.
