Robert A. Sr., 94, of Hasbrouck Heights passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2014. Born in New York City to the late Eugene and Amelia Riker. Robert was an Army veteran of W.W.II serving from 1942-1945 and was a life member of the James B. Scarr American Legion Post 106 and a member of the V.F.W. Post 4591 both in Hasbrouck Heights. In 2006, Robert served as the Grand Marshall in the Memorial Day Parade in Hasbrouck Heights. Before retiring, he was an Executive for West Point Pepperel in New York City. He was a member of The First Reformed Church and a former member of the Leisure Club both in Hasbrouck Heights. Beloved husband of the late Alice (nee DeFeo) Riker. Devoted father of Robert A. Riker, Jr. and his wife Jo Ann L. Riker of Lafayette. Dear brother of the late Edward H. Riker. Brother-in-law of Grethe Riker of New Milford, Pamela DeFeo of Fla. and the late Fred W. DeFeo. Funeral Service at Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Ave. Hasbrouck Heights on Monday, April 14th. at 10 AM Pastor Debbie E. Rundecker officiating. Entombment following at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Visitation Sunday, April 13th. from 2-5 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to The First Reformed Church P.O. Box 66 Hasbrouck Heights, NJ 07604 in memory of Robert A. Riker, Sr. would be appreciated.
