Rubin "Hurricane," of Toronto, Canada departed this life on Sunday, April 20, 2014. He was the fourth child of the late Lloyd Sr. and Bertha Carter. He was predeceased by his brothers Lloyd Carter Jr. and Dr. James Carter, nephews: Hal Carter and Henry Mc Murray Jr. and niece: Karen Wall. He is survived by his former wife: Mae T. Carter, daughter Theodora Carter and son Raheem R. Carter, seven grandchildren: Tu Quania M. Edwards-Walker, George L. Edwards Jr., Anastaiza M.E. Edwards, Crystal Carter, Brittany Carter, Jayden Williams and Myhyst Carter, six great-grandchildren: Zaire I. Walker, Amire N. Walker, Amani Q.M. Walker, Brooklyn L. Edwards, George L. Edwards III and Taylor L. Edwards sisters: Lillian Carter-Walls, Beverly Carter-Mc Murray, Rosalie Carter-Ferguson and the Rev. Doris Carter, sister-in-law: Dolores Carter, five nieces: Janice Rivers, Rhonda Carter, Tanya Carter, Luana Mc Murray-Hodges, Alison Carter-Marlowe, three nephews: Gary Carter, Deondre Mc Murray and Antwan Wilson, a special cousin: Johnny Carter, devoted friend: John Artis, and a host of other cousins, family and friends. A Memorial Celebration will be announced at a later date.
