Thomas E., Sr., "AKA Pops," age 77 of Ridgefield Park surrounded by his loved ones passed away on February 29, 2012. Before retiring Tom worked for Boss-Linco and Roadway Freight Lines and was a member of the Teamsters Local 860 and 641. He as a Army Veteran of the Korean War and also served in the Air Force and was a member and ex-chief of the Ridgefield Park Rescue Squad. Beloved husband of 53 years to Ruth (nee Shon). Devoted father to Thomas, Jr. and his wife Deborah, John and his wife Dona and David Bendewald. Loving grandfather to Amanda, Thomas III, Joshua, Taylor, Sara and Nicco. Dear brother to the late Frederick and his parents Frederick W. and Nora (nee Lewis) He also leaves his loving in-laws and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral service will be conducted at Vorhees-Ingwersen Funeral Home 59 Main St. Ridgefield Park on Saturday at 10 AM. Cremation will be private. Visitation Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: The First United Methodist Church 60 Cedar St. Ridegfield Park, NJ 07660 in his memory.
