BAHR
William J., 80, of Wood-Ridge for 56 years, passed away at home on June 22, 2014. Mr. Bahr was born in Jersey City. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. From 1968 to 1994, he was the proprietor of Bahr Auto Sales and Bahr Towing in East Rutherford. Prior to that, he was a Railroad Fireman for 17 years for the Pennsylvania Railroad. William was an antique car enthusiast. He could be seen tooling around town in his 1927 Nash and he loved to participate in the car shows in Lyndhurst. Beloved husband for 58 years of Joyce A. (nee Elsner) Bahr. Loving father of William A. Bahr and his wife Nita, Bradford A. Bahr, Andra M. Tuccillo and her husband Vincent, Janice L. Bahr and father-in-law of the late Dawn Bahr. Cherished grandfather of Samantha Shay and her husband Frank, Ashley Bahr, Bradford W. Bahr and great-grandfather of Emma Shay along with extended step grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Funeral service at the Kimak Funeral Home, 425 Broad Street, Carlstadt on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at 10:30 AM. Interment Hillside Cemetery, Lyndhurst. Visitation Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in William's memory to the Shriners Hospital for Children, Attn. Finance Dept., 3551 North Broad St., Philadelphia, PA 19140.
