HERRMANN
William E., 81, a longtime resident of Fair Lawn, NJ passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving family. He proudly served with the U. S. Army during the Korean War. Mr. Herrmann attended Fairleigh Dickinson University. A former member of the Fair Lawn Bible Church, he was a deacon. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hiking and visiting mountain ranges.
Prior to retiring in 2001, he was a tool and die maker with Blanchette Tool & Gage Manufacturing Corp. in Clifton for forty years.
Beloved husband of Ruth C. (Sterzel) Herrmann. Loving and devoted father of William Michael Herrmann and Debra Ruth Herrmann. Dear brother of the late Lester Herrmann and Elizabeth Whisnant.
A funeral service is planned for Friday, September 20, 2013, 11 AM at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn, NJ, 201-797-3500. Entombment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. The family will receive relatives and friends Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
