RIVERDALE — Services were held for Yolanda Malano Simonelli, 89, of Wayne, who died on Wednesday, May 15, 2013. She was a former resident of this community.
Born and raised in Warwick, N.Y., Mrs. Simonelli lived in Riverdale before moving to Wayne. She was the coordinator of volunteer services and a member of the foundation board for St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital for many years. Also, she was a writer for many antiquing journals and magazines.
Arrangements were by the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, Totowa. Donations may be sent to the Dr. Anthony J. Addeo Scholarship Fund, c/o St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital Foundation Board, 224 Hamburg Turnpike, Wayne, NJ 07470.
Mrs. Simonelli is survived by her children, Annemarie Appleton of Wayne, and Flavian Simonelli of Branchville; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Michael.
