He enjoyed many of his grandchildren and great grandchildren's sporting events. He was an active member of the Jewett City community and a life member of the American Legion Post 15. He and his wife organized several St. Mary's summer festivals and dinners and he was always proud of the community spirit that those events created. Charles is survived by his sons, Charles Butremovic, Jr. and wife, Brenda, Donald Butremovic (with whom he made his home), Brian Butremovic and wife, Dolores; daughters, Rosemarie Payne and husband, Mike, Janice Luppert all of Griswold and Christine Kersey and husband, Ron of New London; his former son in law, Bill Luppert of New Hampshire; grandchildren, Dennis, Charlene, Charles III, Stacie, Timothy, Joey, Billy, Erika, Lauren, and Kevin; and great-grandchildren, Jessica, Molly, Abby, Annabelle, Mason, and his #1 boy, Nick. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his spouse, Charles was predeceased by sons, Joseph and Richard; brothers, Walter, Alex, and Joseph Butremovic; and sister, Jean Pepper. He will be remembered for his "blue" eyes, ability to love and forgive others, and his kindness to all. He was an ordinary man who had extraordinary values and lived them. The family wishes to acknowledge and thank Dr. T. Baksh, Norwich Cardiac Medicine, his niece Sandy and the caring staff on E4 at the WW Backus Hospital for giving Charles such great care.
