Janet Elaine Cale, 67, of Washington, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014, in Donnell House, Washington.She was born February 27, 1947, in Washington, a daughter of E. Bryan and Wilma Cale of Washington.Miss Cale enjoyed music, camping, bowling, nature and living life to the fullest.She was very active in softball in the Special Olympics. She was in Girl Scouts and was a member of Seventh-day Adventist Church in Washington.During her life, she went to Intermediate Unit and then Opportunity Center. She was one of eight workers that started the Industrial Workshop, which is now ARC of Meadow Lands.Miss Cale was employed at ARC, Greene County Recycling Program and PennDOT Welcome Center in Claysville. She was retired from ATF Center in Washington. She resided at Washington-Greene ARS.Left to cherish her memory, in addition to her parents, are brother Ed (Rosalie) Cale of Hamburg; sister Jane (Ron) Mote of Collegedale, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Nichol Funeral Home, 1873 East Maiden Street, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 4, with Pastor Bob Williams officiating.
