John Milton "Milt" Wegman, 85, of Carleton, Mich., passed away peacefully Friday, June 13, 2014.

He was born February 5, 1929, in Monongahela, a son of Harry and Gertrude Stein Wegman.
Mr. Wegman was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving his country proudly in the Korean War. He worked for Ford Motor Co. for 26 years before retiring.
He enjoyed woodworking. With his specialty clock-making skills, he made a number of beautiful clocks that he gave away as gifts. He also loved collecting model cars and owned a 1993 white Mustang convertible, which he drove around proudly with the top down.
His smile was one of his best attributes. People couldn't help but smile when they saw him. He will be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor.
Mr. Wegman married Sally Becker Harrah on November 17, 1956. Together, they had four children, Michael (Linda) Harrah of Florence, Ore., John Wegman of Carleton, Jeff (Josephine) Wegman of Coldwater, Mich., and Daniel (Tami) Wegman of Monroe, Mich.
Also surviving are his sisters, Mary Donis Donovan of Monongahela, Nancy (Dick) Komondor of New Eagle and Vera (Mont) Filer of Mercer. He will also be remembered fondly by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, is his loving wife, Sally, March 17, 1999.
In accordance to his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a private service for the immediate family at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 21, in Michigan Memorial Funeral Home, Flat Rock, Mich.
