Joseph Cecil Dumm, 82, of South Strabane Township, formerly of Monroeville, died Sunday, June 8, 2014, in Donnell House, Washington.He was born June 17, 1931, in Pittsburgh, a son of Wilbur and Julia Condron Dumm.Mr. Dumm attended Miraculous Medal Roman Catholic Church of Washington and was a former member of St. Bernadette's in Monroeville.He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.Mr. Dumm was employed for 36 years in the accounting department of J&L Steel and LTV Steel, retiring in 1985, and subsequently for Murphy's Meats and Sun Sentinel in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.On July 2, 1955, he married Joan Casey, who survives.Also surviving are a daughter, Kathy Price of Green Tree; a son, John Dunn of Sarver; a daughter, Carolyn Falleroni of Washington; a son, Regis Dumm of Moon Township; and a daughter, JoAnn Casey Glockson of Statham, Ga.Deceased are brothers and sisters Wilbur "Pat" Dumm, Regis Dumm, Rita Todd, Marie Sweeley, Margaret "Peggy" Scheboth and Gerard and Paul Condron.Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Hummell and Jones Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington, where a blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 12, with Father Carmen D'Amico officiating. Interment will follow at 11 a.m. in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township. Full military honors will be accorded by the U.S. Army and American Legion Post 175, Washington.The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Donnell House, c/o Washington Health Systems Hospice Care, 155 Wilson Avenue, Washington.Messages of condolence may be left at
