Joseph K. Baker, 90, of Mesa, Ariz., passed Thursday, July 10, 2014.

He was a World War II veteran with five bronze battle stars.
Mr. Baker spent much of his life in Washington in the timber and excavating business.
Family was everything to him, including wife Mary "Lib" of 68 years; son, Ken and wife Rhonda; daughter, Mary Jo Petrie and husband Bill; and his adoring grandchildren, Kristen Maxwell and husband Scooter and Brian Petrie. He had a never-ending smile seeing his little great-granddaughters, Payson and Breckyn. His brother, John, resides in Pittsburgh. A brother, Al, is deceased. Mr. Baker also had 16 nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, July 17, in Grace United Methodist Church, Mesa.
