Keith John Kappeler, 70, of Largo, Fla., died Wednesday, July 6, 2014.
He was born in Pittsburgh and was a Florida resident since coming from Greensburg in 2004.
Mr. Kappeler received his bachelor's degree in accounting from Penn State University. He was a member and past master of John A Brashear Lodge 743 F&AM and of St Clair Royal Arch Chapter 301, Mt. Morah Council 2 and Pittsburgh Commandery 1.
He served in the U.S. Army. Upon moving to Largo, he worked as a postal clerk for several years.
Mr. Kappeler will be remembered as a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was also a faithful fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates and Penguins.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Constance Wheeler Kappeler; son Dr. Keith B. Kappeler (Elizabeth); daughter Krisitin Rigby (Brad); brother Albert Kappeler (Sibyl); sister Helen Kappeler; and four grandchildren, Kaylee Rigby, Cooper Kappeler, Chase Rigby and Crosby Kappeler.
