Michael Roger Brown Sr., 68, of Burgettstown, died Thursday, June 19, 2014, in Donnell House, Washington.
He was born August 20, 1945, in Avella, a son of the late Joseph S. and Cleo P. Randolph Brown.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, Mr. Brown served from November 5, 1965, until his honorable discharge November 3, 1967.
For his service, he was awarded the Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, two Overseas Service Bars and the Rifle Sharpshooter Badge.
He was a delivery driver for Bill's Furniture Store.
On June 5, 1965, he married Peggy Joyce Shoup, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Michael R. (Amy) Brown Jr. of Bulger; two daughters, Michelle Campbell of Las Vegas, Nev., and Melissa (John) Peters of Romulus, Mich.; three brothers, Norman (Arleta) Brown of Waynesburg, Roy Brown of Sarasota, Fla., and Walter Brown of Westland; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a son, William S. Brown.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation or services. Burial will be in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township.
