Richard Allen "Dick" Eddy, 68, of Dilliner, died at 2:35 a.m. Sunday, June 22, 2014, in his home.

He was born Thursday, April 18, 1946, in Osage, W.Va., a son of the late Harlan Eddy and Phyllis Mayfield Eddy.
Mr. Eddy was a veteran, having served with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
He was a member of James T. Maxon American Legion Post 992 of Mt. Morris, Bobtown Polish Club, Bobtown Rod and Gun Club and Mt. Morris Sportsman Club.
Mr. Eddy was a construction worker, having owned and operated Dick Eddy Builders.
Surviving are his wife, Connie Stoneking Eddy, whom he married December 16, 1967; three daughters, Shari (Richard) Duvall of Mt. Morris, Shannon (George) Presock of Greensboro and Rebecca (Troy) Eddy-Jenkins of Greensboro; 10 grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; a sister, Brenda Riley of Ravenna, Ohio; two brothers, Jeff Eddy of Stowe, Ohio, and Tom Eddy of Largo, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation or services at the funeral home. The family will greet friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 28, in James T. Maxon American Legion Post 992, Mt. Morris. Burial will be private.
