William Howard "Bill" Hamilton, 59, of Findlay, Ohio, died at 3:55 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2014, in his home, surrounded by his family.
He was born September 9, 1954, in New Eagle, a son of Harold R. Hamilton and the late Evelyn B. Yates Hamilton.
On October 5, 1974, he married Kathie S. Powell, who survives.
Also surviving are his father and stepmother, Harold and Lorean Hamilton of Salyersville, Ky.; sons James (Brandy) Hamilton and Harold Hamilton, both of Findlay; daughter Susan Hamilton of Riverview, Fla.; grandchildren Alex and Austin Jarrell, Baylee, Calvin, Jocelynn and Cameron Hamilton, Kaylee Hurwitz and Brennan Schmidt; brothers Robert (Ada) Hamilton of Mt. Eaton, Ohio, Ron (Tammie) Hamilton and Bryan (Mary Jane) McDaniels, both of Salyersville, and Johnathon (Stephanie) Hamilton of Georgetown, Ky.; sisters Patricia D. Reed of Winchester, Ky., and Sandra Hamilton of Wellington, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two infant daughters, Sandy Sue and Charlotta Hamilton.
Mr. Hamilton was a 1972 graduate of Van Buren High School. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He was a dairy farmer, truck driver and supermarket store liquidator.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and 10 to 11 a.m., the time of service, Saturday, July 19, in Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, Findlay, with Pastor Jim Klaussing officiating. Burial will follow in Wharton Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Howard United Methodist Church or Bridge Hospice in his memory.
