Ocala - Berry A. Wright, Sr. 88, of Ocala, passed away February 8, 2013 at the Legacy House.
He was born on May 14, 1924 in Bath, New Brunswick, Canada, a son to the late Randolph and Mary Jane Wright. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son James and a daughter Betty Jane.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving during World War II where he received the Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. He was a member of the VFW Post 4781 and belonged to the Queen of Peace Catholic Church. His family fondly remembers his love for fishing and boating.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 61 years Jeannine; five sons, Berry (Ursula) Wright of Ocala, Stephen Wright of Bristol, CT, Edward (Michelle) Wright of Portland, CT, George (Rita) Wright of Cheshire, CT, Thomas (Cindy) Wright of Bethlehem, CT; six daughters, Denise (Mick) Page of Ocala, Debra (Joseph) Staskiewicz of Ocala, Barbara (Dominic) Caciopoli of Lake George, NY, Joan Tardiff of Orlando, Judy Wright of Rhode Island, Jeannine Wright of Ocala; one brother Roy Wright of Lakeland, and numerous grand children and great grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Queen of Peace Catholic Church on March 15, 2013 at 8:30 am. Cremation arrangements have been arranged with Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
