CLYDE LOUISE, 95
Palatka - Clyde Louise "Sue" McGovern, age 95, passed away on February 16, 2014, at the residence of her caregiver, Anita Evans, in Palatka, Florida. She was born on December 3, 1918 in Brownsburg, Indiana, the daughter of Clyde L. Bragg and Mary Adeline (Cox) Bragg.
Louise "Sue" was a graduate of Indiana University, a Registered Nurse, and served in World War II as a Navy Nurse. Louise became a resident of Florida in 1944, living in Ocala, Silver Springs. She worked in the Health Care Profession in Ocala before retiring in 1986. In 2003 she moved to Crescent City and was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, John A. McGovern II and his wife, June (Martin) of Crescent City; her daughter Mary Sue Cockes and her husband, Doug of Cimarron, Colorado; four grandchildren: Amy (Ken) Kelly of St. Augustine, Ashley (Wilson) Fong of Chicago, Illinois, John Martin McGovern of Orlando, and Andrea (Brian) Cordova of St. Augustine; five great grandchildren: Chase Kelly, Lauren Kelly, Avery Kelly, Pasha and Phoenix Fong; two brothers in Madison, Indiana: Oscar C. Bear, Jr., and Dr. William H. Bear; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Mary Ann (Bear) Hale, and an infant son, Henry McGovern.
Louise "Sue" McGovern's interment took place at Fort McCoy Cemetery. At her request, only family attended the grave side service, officiated by her pastor, Dr. David Shull, First Baptist Church of Crescent City.

Arrangements were under the careful care of Clayton Frank & Biggs Funeral Home, Crescent City, Florida.
