Ocala - Mr. Frank E. Crawford Jr., 91, of Silver Springs Shores, passed away peacefully on June 16th, 2013. Frank also spent a substantial part of his life in White Plains and Thornwood, New York.
He is preceded in death by his wife Dolores Crawford; his son Frank E. Crawford III; and his granddaughter Beth Schatkun. He is survived by his longtime companion Dorothy Beeks; his daughters Barbara Ori, Deborah Parente, Marion Magnero, and Leslie Hutton; his sister Nancy Pierce; his grandchildren Gilad, Daniel, and Yael Ori; Andrea Rivera and Vanessa Tannheimer; Ray and Michelle Magnero; and R.J. Hutton. He is also survived by four great-grandsons.
Frank was a 1943 graduate of Princeton University and served on a Navy minesweeper in both the European and Pacific World War II war front. He was employed by the County Trust Company and the U.S. Postal Service. Many people in the Shores remember him for his role as the treasurer of his condo board for many years.
His family wishes to note the empathy and support of the staff of the Estelle House Hospice in Ocala.
