DOYLE, IMOGENE LORD
Orlando - Imogene "Jeannie" Lord Doyle, formerly a seven year resident of Ocala, FL, passed away Sunday March 17th, 2013 in Orlando, FL.
Jeannie was born in Dudley, GA on October 14th, 1932 to Joseph and Molcie Lord. Jeannie grew up in Dudley, GA and graduated from Dexter High School. She went on to earn her bachelor's degree from the University of Georgia and started her family life in Orlando, FL. She was married to Joe E. King from 1953 to 1977.
While Orlando was home base, the family traveled extensively throughout the Western United States, eventually settling back in Altamonte Springs, FL. After living and working in the greater Orlando area, she retired to Ocala with her beloved husband, John Doyle, who she married in 1996.
Jeannie enjoyed life. She appreciated good conversation, good music, dancing and good company. Most of all she was a dedicated wife, devoted mother and well-loved family member.
She is survived by her four children and their families, Peggy King (Wilner Labady) of Orlando, FL, Kathi King (Rob Wilcox) of Golden, CO, Janet King (J Morley) of Lafayette, CO, and Michael King of Aurora, CO; and by her four stepchildren and their families, John Doyle (Michelle Campbell) of Valrico, FL, William Doyle (Susan Smith) of Jacksonville, FL, Gerald Doyle (Shirley) of Macclenny, FL and Brian Doyle of Jacksonville, FL; as well as numerous extended family members and friends.
Compass Point Mortuary will take care of immediate preparations. A joint service will be held at Trail Branch Primitive Baptist Church in Cochran, GA, April 6th at 4pm to celebrate the lives of Jeannie and her husband, John Joseph Doyle, Jr., who preceded her in death on March 2nd, 2013. Elder Raybon Lord will officiate the Memorial service.
Flowers are being handled by Classic Florist (478.272.7681). In lieu of flowers, you may donate to a in their names. Alternately, contributions are being accepted for memorial trees to be planted in Jean and John's honor and may be sent in care of Betty Lord, P.O. Box 102, Montrose, GA 31065.
