McCLURE, IRA T., 87
Born October 28, 1925 in Leitchfield, KY to Robert and Mary (Newton) McClure; died October 22, 2013 in Ocala, FL.
He proudly served our country as a Corporal in the US Army during World War II, and received two purple hearts with clusters, Silver Star, and Bronze Star.
Mr. McClure is survived by his wife, Mary of Summerfield, FL; sons, Ira T. of Ector, TX, Ronald, Richard, and John Glen all of Summerfield; daughters, Heidi Chick of Springfield, GA, Laurie Tarzia of Summerfield, and Susan Sodaro of Milford, CT; sister, Jane White of Leitchfield, KY; brother, Robert Louis of Taylorsville, KY; 22 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He is proceeded in death by wife, Claire; sister, Virginia; brothers, Elza and Wilbert.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, November 2, 2013, 1 p.m. at Christ The King Anglican Church, Ocala, with the Rev. Donald J. Curran, Jr. presiding. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Wounded Warrior Project or to the church.
