ABRAMS, JEROME, 77
Ocklawaha- Jerome "Jerry" Abrams, 77, passed away on July 12, 2014 surrounded by family.
He served in the United States Coast Guard and is a retired New York City Police Officer. Jerry was a member of the Ocala Men's Bowling Association, USBC Youth Bowling Association, the Corvette Club of Ocala, the Elks and the Blue Knights.
He was preceded in death by his wife Estelle "Stella" Abrams. Jerry is survived by his brother Eugene Abrams of Brooklyn, NY; his children Alan (Lorraine), Mitchell (Ann), and Ellen (Mike) all of Ocklawaha; his five grandchildren: Michael, Justin, Amanda, Scott, and Samantha; his great-grandchild, Dalton; and his companion, Harriet Bieber of Summerfield.
The family would appreciate donations be made in his memory to Hospice of Marion County.
All friends are invited to join the family in a memorial for Jerry on August 9, 2014 at the ELKS Lodge of Ocala, 702 NE 25th Ave. from 12-2 p.m.
