Ocala - Nina J. 'Jeannie' Adams, 74, passed away July 23, 2014 at Sylvia's House. Born Sept. 4,1939, in Jamestown, NY, to Albert Eccles and Eleanor Comfort, she was the co-owner of Dairy Queen at Silver Springs. She said 'I've had a great life. I've done everything that I ever wanted except swim with the dolphins'. She was a championship bowler, an avid tennis player, served two years as president of the FKWTA. Scuba diving was one of her greatest loves. She dived in Honduras, Cancun, Cayman Islands, Cozimel, The Bahamas, and Crystal River. She was a private pilot and flew when she wanted.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Ronald L. Adams, son Ron Jr. (Dawn), daughter Shelly Nawrocki (John), grandchildren, Zane Nawrocki, Chase Nawrocki, Jered Adams, Gage Nawrocki, Brianne Anderson (Utah), and Morghan Adams (Utah).
She was pre-deceased by her father and mother and one son Brian.
A 'Celebration of Life' will be held on Friday, Aug. 29, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. at the Ocala Elks Club, 702 N.E. 25th Ave, Ocala. All friends are invited - she said, 'Have a party' and we will. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Marion County (Sylvia's House).
