Cruz, Angelo M. "Hacksaw'

Angelo M. "Hacksaw" Cruz, 40, of Menominee, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 14, 2013, at Bay Area Medical Center. He was born August 4, 1972, to Jose and Darlene (Stone) Cruz.

He graduated from Oconto High School in 1991. After graduation he entered the United States Marine Corps, serving until 1994 when he was honorably discharged due to a service related injury. Angelo worked at Stock Lumber and MJB Industries for a number of years. He married the former Marana Boucher in 2002. He also graduated from NWTC with an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice-Law Enforcement. Angelo later joined Karl Schmidt Unisia and was currently employed as a production coordinator for the company as KS Kolbenschmidt U.S., Inc. He had been a member of the Menominee City Auxiliary Police Dept. volunteering for many years and was currently an active member of the Marinette Elks Lodge. Angelo enjoyed everything outdoors; camping, fishing, hunting, listening to the rain and watching thunderstorms and anything athletic; being loyal to all Wisconsin teams. He cherished his family and friends; they were his extended family. He was a kind and generous man, great father and incredible husband. He was fun loving and lived his life trying to make people laugh and he always succeeded. He had a contagious way of bringing out your inner child. He touched everyone he met, he will be missed by many.

Angelo is survived by his wife, Marana; his children, Joseph, Haley, Bryce and Zoe; his parents, Jose and Darlene Cruz of Pound, Wis.; his brothers and sisters, Rosita (Wes) Cornelius, Ramon (Dolly) Cruz, Maria (Chris) Roberts, Jose (Trudy) Cruz and Roger (Dawn) Cruz; his goddaughters, Amanda Adams and Nicole Carriveau; many nieces, nephews; aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.
