Arthur Janke passed away peacefully Sunday, August 25th, 2013, at Kensington Care Center, Aurora. His best friends, Waldine Mazak and Schnee "Good Boy" were at his side.
Arthur was born January 7th, 1918, to Else and Karl Janke in Zhitomir, Ukraine. He was a Professor at the University of Illinois, Kent State University and an instructor at Medina County JVS.
Arthur is survived by his wife, Janine (nee Bender); daughter, Kara (Mike); sons, Roald Oleg (Denise), Igor (Hope); and his five loving grandchildren, Raisa, Konrad, Tatjana, Emma, and Abigail.
FRIENDS MAY CALL AT THE FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME, 356 WEST AURORA RD. (OH RT 82), SAGAMORE HILLS, FOR VISITATION ON THURSDAY FROM 4 TO 6:30 P.M. Arthur's funeral service will immediately follow at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Private family interment will take place at Rose Hill Burial Park, Akron. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested in his name to Walsh Jesuit High School, 4550 Wyoga Lake Rd., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44224.
