Carl L. Reed, 81, passed away November 2, 2012.|
Born in Georgetown, Pa. on May 22, 1931, he had been a resident of Akron since 1959. He was a practicing Attorney since May, 1966 and served as the Chiel City Prosecutor from 1968-1970. He was a member of the Akron, Ohio and American Bar Association, Presbyterian Church of Chester, W. Va., and a life member of the VFW Post #6450 of Chester. During the Korean War he served 42 months aboard the Battleship, U.S.S Missouri (BB-63).
He attended Bethany College and received a BS degree in Business Administration from Ohio State University along with a JD degree from the College of Law at Ohio State University. He was a memeber of the law firm of Lombardi, Reed and Pierce.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Thelma Reed of Chester, W. Va. He is survived by his longtime friend, Geri Cushing.
Per Carl's wishes, cremation has taken place and inurnment was held at Millcreek Cemetery in Georgetown, Pa.
