Dallas (Bill) William Bleau|
TALLMADGE -- Dallas (Bill) William Bleau was born December 7, 1926.
He passed on to the Great Architect of the Universe on August 25, 2014.
Bill is survived by his wife of 67 years, Phyllis; sister, Lilliam Finnern; brother, Roger Bleau; his children, Nanci Bleau, Joe (Ann), William (MaryDeb), Kim (John) Laria. Bill had eight grandchildren, Aaron (Kyle) Bode, Tiffany (Scott) Franks, Michael and Lee Boring, Sarah and Vincent Bleau, Jennifer (Chris) Brink, Joe (Danielle) Laria; and 4.5 great-grandchildren, Adrienne Bode, Veronica Franks, Connor and Jonathon Brink, and baby Laria due on December 7 (great-grandpa's birthday).
Bill was a longtime resident of the Portage Lakes area where he graduated from Coventry High School, attended The Ohio State University, later moving to Cuyahoga Falls, Springfield, Stow and Tallmadge. He was a proud World War II veteran from the Pacific campaigns while on a U.S. Navy sub-chaser. Bill was retired after thirty-eight years with the Lawson Milk Company and later, Milk Marketing Inc. (MMI). Bill was an avid golfer, who finished his rounds with an amazing six holes in one. After retirement he spent the winters at his home in Lantana, Florida. Bill is a member of Our Lady of Victory Church in Tallmadge, Ohio. Bill would leave us with these four words, "In God We Trust!"
Graveside service at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 28, 2014, at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Rittman, Ohio, officiated by Rev. Father John Hengle. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
