Daniel M. Babarick|
KENT -- Daniel M. Babarick, age 78, of Kent passed away October 18, 2013.
Daniel was born December 28, 1934 in Kent to the late Mark and Anna Babarick.
Besides his parents; he was preceded in death by his wife, Donna (Thomas) Babarick; and sister, Priscilla Seikel. Daniel is survived by son, Mark of Stow; daughter, Tracie (Eric) Kinaitis of Munroe Falls; dear grandsons, Ian, Isaac and Aaron also of Munroe Falls; plus many caring friends.
An honorably discharged U.S. Army veteran, Daniel was self-employed most of his life working in the mold engraving field and later owning a remodeling business with his son and working by his side until very recently.
His greatest personal achievement in life was being a 12-year cancer survivor and with his positive outlook was able to live these years to the fullest. He enjoyed old cars and was especially proud of completely restoring his 1946 Ford coupe at which he showed off at car shows too numerous to mention. He walked his daughter down the aisle on her wedding day and became an instant grandfather to two beautiful grandsons. And, experienced additional joy and pride in welcoming a third grandson which he also showered with love including holding him at a recent Cleveland Indians game.
At his request, cremation has taken place. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, October 21, 2013 at the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home, 3333 Kent Rd. (at Rt. 91) in Stow.
