Donald Scott Blake Obituary
Donald Scott Blake, born May 18, 1925 in Weston, West Virginia, went home to his Lord and Savior on Monday, June 25, 2012.

Don was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Asiatic Pacific Campaign in World War II and was a member of VFW 1066. He retired from B&W in 1988 with 33 years of service.

Don enjoyed playing guitar and mandolin, singing country music, deer hunting, and watching his favorite teams, the Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns.

Don was preceded in death by his father and mother, Andrew Adam and Vesta Susan Blake; loving wife, Wilma Eileen (Davis) Blake; brothers, Gaylord, Lloyd, Clarence, Hayward, Adam, Doyle and Herbert; and sisters Jeanette, Mildred, Agnes, Hazel, and Mabel. A loving father, Don is survived by daughters, Wilma (Russell) Vaughn of Shrewsbury, New Jersey, Connie (Tim) Perry of Wadsworth, Rhonda (Mark) Wright of Rittman, Terry Blake of Canal Fulton, and Linda (Ben) Flaker of Norton. "Papa Don" will be truly missed by his grandchildren, Billy, Bradley, Stephanie, Blake, Timothy, Joseph, Kevin, Vincent, Taylor, and Mackenzie; and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 29, 2012 at Cox Funeral Home, 222 Norton Ave. in Barberton, with Pastor Kevin Burkholder officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. The family would like to give a special thanks to the caring staffs at Hickory Ridge and Akron General in Akron, and Heartland Hospice Services and Manor Care in Barberton.
