Esther L. McGraw, 86, of Akron, went home to be with the Lord January 11, 2014.
Esther was a life resident of the area, a member of the V.F.W Auxiliary and a barmaid-waitress for over 50 years at various places.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Cora Hunt Kennedy; beloved husband, Charles; and son-in-law, Gary Wells. She is survived by her children, Beverly Wells, Charlene (Richard) Atkins and Dale (Marla) McGraw. Esther will also be missed by her six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Pebblecreek Nursing Home and Hospice for the wonderful care that was given to Esther, and a special thank you to Mike who took wonderful care of her.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 16, 2014 at the Schlup-Pucak Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd., Akron, where funeral service will be held at 8 p.m., with Pastor Rev. Mike Sollars officiating. Inurnment will be held 12 Noon Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Lakewood Cemetery.
