Frank J. Troy, age 81, died Tuesday after a short illness. |
Born in Youngstown, he had lived in North Canton since 1977. He earned a Juris Doctorate from the University of Akron, and was retired from Bridgestone Firestone. Frank was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in North Canton and the V.F.W. He was a Korean War Army veteran and was awarded a Bronze Star.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred (Kline) Troy of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Frank Jr. and Anna Troy of Bedford and Timothy and Tabbetha Troy of Midland, Michigan; three grandchildren, Tiffany (Robert) Brewer, Kimberly Troy, and Sarah Troy; and three great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Krista, and Alyissa Brewer; and was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Natasha Rose Troy.
Family and friends will meet on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church in North Canton for a prayer service, with Msgr. James Clarke officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman. Friends may call Thursday (TONIGHT) from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home and Friday from 10 to10:30 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the
