George Robert Brean (Pappy), 75, passed away Aug. 24 in St. Petersburg, Fla.
He was born Aug. 30, 1938 in Barberton, Ohio. He was a member of the Barberton First Baptist Church and graduated from Barberton High School. He served in the United States Navy and retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. after 45 years of service.
He enjoyed coaching Little League baseball, camping and spending time with family and friends.
Preceded in death by his wife, Julie; mother, Gladys); father, Robert; brother-in-law, Norm Stewart; and nephew, Billy Jones (Jonsey); he is survived by ex-wife, Bonnie; sons, Rick (Maureen), Randy (Charlene), Mike (Tracy), and Mark; grandchildren, Trisha, Linda, Marky and Tia; great-grandchildren, Landon, Grethen and Peyton; brother, Glenn (Betty); sisters, Norma, Elaine (Bill); aunt, Martha Brean; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; special friends, John Baker, Cathy and Dan Cook.
A memorial service will be held at Grace Church, 3970 Cleve.-Mass., Rd., Norton, Ohio at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 30. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Grace Church Norton Campus
