Gerald W. Bogard passed away unexpectedly on February 13, 2013 at the age of 79.

Gerald was born June 9, 1933 in Akron, Ohio and was a life long resident in Ohio. He served in the Navy and then began a career at BF Goodrich, retiring after 37 years. He loved playing cards, hunting, fishing, gospel and country music, bingo, spending time with his large family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Olive and Walter, as well as his siblings, Wesley, Mel, and Grace.

Gerald will be sadly missed by Wanita, his loving wife of 58 years; his children, Bonnie, Lynn, Chris, Mark, and Kelly; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his other siblings, Newt, Margaret, Judy, Bertha, Ruth, Jean and Mary.

Funeral service at the Prentice Funeral Home, 1154 Kenmore Blvd., TODAY AT 12 NOON, with Pastor Robert Webb officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
