A native of West Virginia, he was an area resident most of his life. A World War II, Navy veteran, he retired from G.R. Myers as a long distance driver. He was an active member of The Kenmore Community Church of the Nazarene.
He is survived by his beloved wife, of 67yrs., Madeline; sons, Glenn (Carol) of Seattle, Wash., Robert (Charlotte) of Covington, Ky., Everett (Annette) of Wichita, Kans.; daughter, Carole Ann (John) Satterly of Jewitt City, Conn.; ten grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and brother, Richard (Nellie) of Comanche, Okla.
Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, at the Schlup-Pucak Funeral Chapel, 788 Kenmore Blvd. Graveside funeral service, 11 a.m., Friday, June 21, 2013 at Greenlawn Memorial Park with Pastor Terry Passmore officiating. Firestone VFW #3383 will render Military Honors.
