James Joseph Freeman|
AKRON -- James Joseph Freeman, 80, of Akron, went home to Jesus on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at the Cleveland Clinic.
He was born on December 28, 1932 in Wooster the son of Karl D. and Melva Pailliotet Freeman. He was a Navy veteran having served in Korea and Japan. Jim was a commercial real estate appraiser, a member of the VFW, American Legion and St. Victor Catholic Church.
Surviving are wife of 56 years, Marjorie (Bauer) Freeman; a son, Attorney Greg Freeman; and brothers, Kenneth and John Freeman.
James was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Maryann Ebel.
Friends will be received on Thursday, August 29, 2013 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 527 Beall Ave., Wooster, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Stephen Moran officiating. Burial will be 2 p.m. at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman. (McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster, is assisting the family.
